Hamari Adhuri Kahani is a hindi drama movie which released on 28 July 2015.The overall box office collection of this movie is Rs. 2,260 million worldwide.This movie won many awards in different categories of filmmaking at the 54th Filmfare Awards, including Best Story and Best Screenplay, which was shared by Imtiaz Ali and Mohit Suri. It was also nominated for the Golden Leopard award at the Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland in 2016. Hamari Adhuri Kahani titled as "Mahesh Bhatt Ki Hamari Kahani" by Mahesh Bhatt at the 54th Filmfare Awards which was held on 20 January 2016 in Mumbai, India. Naina (Kiara Advani), a young woman who lives in London, attends a wedding where she meets Vicky Arora (Arjun Kapoor) and the two hit it off. After spending the night together, Naina finds out Vicky is already engaged to Pooja (Sana Altham). Naina is devastated and she leaves with her friend Ria (Anushka Sharma). A few months later in London, Naina learns that her father, in India is critically ill. She travels back to Mumbai where she feels neglected by her mother Sanjana (Rhea Chakraborty) who believes she doesn't need help looking after her father Ashok Sinha (Mahesh Bhatt). Naina realizes that her mother is deeply in love with Ashok, and doesn't want Naina to get close to him. After the loss of his wife several years before, Ashok has no interest in another relationship. He tries to establish a positive relationship with Naina but she initially rejects him. The lost love between the father and daughter grows into a deep relationship despite the efforts of Sanjana to undermine it.Vicky returns from Australia where he married Pooja. She had an intense dislike for Naina after finding out she was seeing Vicky while he was engaged to her. Later on Pooja comes back into their lives while working at the same company as Naina, who is now married to Vicky. After getting engaged to Vicky, Naina discovers that Vicky's job is to have an affair with his boss's wife. She learns of this by calling his phone while he is cheating on her. She goes on a trip to her parent's cabin in the mountains, while she is there she receives a call from her father saying that he wants to come visit her. He gets into an accident, while Naina rushes him to the hospital, she makes him promise that he will not love Sanjana anymore and will accept Naina as his daughter.Vicky breaks up with Naina after meeting Pooja in London at his wedding, which he realizes is also celebrating their anniversary for when they first met. He shares a ride with Naina in the car to the airport. At it reveals that he really loves Pooja and still has feelings for her from when they first met. The film ends with Naina breaking into tears, after telling Vicky that he is the father of her unborn baby.

The soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman, and consists of 9 songs and 1 theme song which is "Kabira" sung by Arijit Singh.
